Underwater sculptures by Jason de Caires Taylor

Artist Jason de Caires Taylor creates life-size cement sculptures of people, then submerges them under the waters off South America. As time passes the sculptures become part of the underwater landscape, attracting marine life and as you can see corals find them the perfect place to grow. What a brilliant idea. Check out the artist’s website for more.

Photographer Simon Bond and his crystal gaze

If any of you often read the London Metro, you may have stumbled across this article, published on Tuesday November the 17th.
The 31-year-old teacher and photographer Simon Bond, initially from my hometown of Winchester in Hampshire, captures his subject matter in the most unique and captivating way. After searching for an original way to express the wonder he felt whilst in the awe of his surroundings, Simon spotted a glass sphere on a market stall, and from there the rest is history.
Simon’s experimental work provides a refreshing, beautiful and magical new technique that explores photography on a deeper level beyond the internal mechanisms of the camera and with fascinating results. It’s pleasing to see photographers like Simon exploring external methods of play with their image making, so much seems to rely on photoshop to make much of the impact.

Please enjoy more of Simon’s work :
